Living near San Diego, our local desert skies are fairly reliable year-round, making us very fortunate. I'll add those Large Scope and Bonus Objects to my observing list... even though I've seen them all before. I'll be using the girlfriend's 20" Obsession ;)

No need to be hardy if properly prepared. With our available cold-weather gear, if it stays above 35 F we start taking layers off...

Some people still tend to assume that their locales are the center of
the Universe, even when they might be aware that "outlanders" are more
numerous. ;-)
