Hi

I am new to Astronomy and would like to know if there is an Astronomical
Society/Club in the Hull/Beverley area. Can anyone help?

Steve

Can't help but would be intersted in the reply as I find myself in the same
position (returning after a gap of 20 odd years anyway).

Thanks for getting back to me Paul.
Do you live in Hull?
Maybe we could get together sometime?

Cheers Paul, might see you there.

Nah - don't live in Hull any more - moved to Cott - much more civilised

From digging around it would appear that at least one incarnation of a

local
Astronomy club meets at the University on Cottingham Road on the first
Monday of each month.

Next meeting is the 6th October.

of every month at the friends meeting house.

That looks more hopeful - any details available?

Paul

If you email me near the date 22nd October I think, I'll meet you there. I
rang the guy who runs it called Tony. He said it is near the old maternity
hospital and they usually meet about 19:30. Its more of a hands-on practical
club than a one all about theory.
