Default ASTRO: Orion reigon

Also taken with a 100mm lens. This about 8 minutes of data. Canon 400D @
800asa. I neve knew there was so much gas and dust in this area. Its kind
of easy to capture in a image.

You staying up really late or getting up really early?

This one looks a lot like a 15 minute film shot on High Speed Ektachrome
I once did of the same field. Your lens is a lot better than mine however!

The amount of nebulosity picked up is almost identical. Barnard's loop
also came out just about as it does in your shot. Maybe a bit higher
contrast to the background. I was working from a very dark site. Looks
like you may be in more light pollution than I was. Or maybe it is just
because it is low in the sky and looking through too much atmosphere.

Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct.
Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".

Joe, the lens works well, I don't see any blue or purple fringes.
