Default distortion while viewing Jupiter lastnight

I was looking at Jupiter last night with my etx125 . and 26mm plossl , ive
not had this happen before but while trying to get best focus there was
distortion just like when you look at town lights in the distance the best
way to describe is shimering .

would the cause of this be warm are in the ota ?
the scope had been outside about 20 mins . outside temp was 0.1 c

thanks
peter

Was it just a transient phenomenon, or did it last for a long time ?

More likely that Jupiter was so low down in the atmosphere and
probably being affected by rising heat from houses/chimneys.
