Default Falcon 1 vertical on Kwajalein pad

Launch window opens on August 1; hopefully they'll make orbit on this
third attempt.

A Falcon 9 with the full monty of 9 engines is being prepared for a test
firing soon; reports are that the launch pad work for the Falcon 9 is
being held back because of paperwork delays. This sounds familiar...

If not, so what. They have this thing ... it's called commitment.

I guess you never heard of it.

Always interesting when commitment interacts with funding though

You have to put it into perspective, if you add it all up, his own money
and total COTS funding thus far, there are several hundred million
dollars into this, probably closer to a HALF OF BILLION DOLLARS.

It would be NUTS to say it is all riding on this one launch.

Failure is a definite option (besides, it's unmanned).
