Not as far-fetched as it sounds, Pat.
IIRC, one of the Essential Ingredients of early 20th Century
dentures was Uranium - it helped add to the pearly luster of the teeth.

Back in the early part of the last century (I'm still not used to
thinking of the 1900's as "the last century")
They came up with the brilliant idea of treating tuberculosis with
strontium-laced cigars.
It's radioactive! It's magic! It must be good for you! :-D

And they'll still glow when you turn them into a Mobile, hanging above
your baby's crib. The baby may not live long, but they should be a prime
candidate for the space program. Especially considering all their hair
will fall out. And such a personal touch to add to your all-American
Nursery!
