Certain of Yahoo's financial message boards are under attack by hackers that
are able to CHANGE previously posted messages. What is disturbing here is
that the ability to change what was already posted may eventually extend to
other message boards or even news groups such as this.

Imagine several of your posts changed to say whatever the hacker desired. I
really hope Yahoo gets their act together on this one and take care of the
problem quickly. The boyz doing the hacking may be headed for problems if
they break SEC rules as well as TOS from Yahoo. For now I am limiting my
participation in newsgroups and message boards until this security breach is
fixed. Hope this helps.

Corrections welcomed, but Usenet newsgroups are a totally different
system to a Yahoo group or the groups Google is trying to set up.
It's so widely distributed that it's very hard to cancel a message, much
less change one.
