Default When will somebody grasp the nettle?

Which one? the one about what to do about having children in a spacecraft.
Seems to me if there is truly a need for colonisation, such a situation
will arise sooner or later on a long mission with mixed crew.
There are of course lots of theical problems to be sorted out, as an unborn
child can hardly give consent, but I'd have hoped that the medical issues at
least would be known about from flying other species.

That then only leaves the human issues I suppose.

Would they announce it aheead of time, or wait till it happened I wonder..
grin.
OK i am being serious here, its got to happen if we want to live off world.
