Default Telescopes? I want to see the planets!!!

What kind of telescope would you use to view detailed images of the
planets? If you have any images of the solar system taken by your
recommended telescope please attach them.

Thankyou.

I suggest that you ask in sci.astro.amateur, about star-parties as well;
that group is much more concerned with hobby observing than this one.

Regarding attachments: they are generally frowned on in newsgroups, most
of which are supposed to be for plain text only. Some ISPs and news
servers will remove attachments, or reject messages containing them.
However, it *is* appropriate to post images to groups with "binaries" in
their name; alt.binaries.pictures.astro is one that's dedicated to
amateur astrophotography. Solar, lunar, and planetary images are
frequently posted there (although outnumbered by DSOs), and most of the
contributors readily provide details regarding their equipment and
techniques.
