Default Viewing Moon

When viewing the moon in a telescope do I need to be using a filter of some
sorts for eye protection?

Viewing the mood through a telescope will not damage your eyes, however
it can be uncomfortable. You can buy a "Moon Filter" which I believe is
just a neutral density filter to cut down the amount of light for more
comfortable viewing.
