Default Simple question about the speed of atmosphere

This question is for those cranks who hallucinate gravity waves
and a speed of force.
I was just watching the space shuttle (Endeavour) on NASA TV
on its final re-entry, and I was wondering if the lunatics could tell
us what the speed of atmosphere is as it experiences a force
slowing its speed. Is the speed of atmospheric force waves c?

I would call an atmospheric force wave: "sound". So m.

Gravity waves are no hallucination - they are very real and seen on open
stretches of water and in the atmosphere every day.

I expect the OP meant gravitational waves but was far too dumb and pig
ignorant to use the correct terminology.

I was just watching the space shuttle (Endeavour) on NASA TV

It is cruel to mock the afflicted.

It is shockwave dominanted since the speed of the Shuttle as it skims
the atmosphere is much much greater than the speed of sound up there.
The atmosphere gets almost no warning of the approach of the shock front
beyond some light passing through it at the speed of light c.

Androcles should stick to feline podiatry or at higher risk dentistry.

Martin Brown
