If this isn't some sort of terrorism, it's the biggest coincidence ever. Of
course, when you add the reliability of Russian planes to it, maybe not so
big.

(Yes, I know it's a morbid joke.)

One story circulating, is that one of the pilots radioed a Hijack warning
moments before contact was lost...

Whatever the cause, the shock and loss deserves all our sympathies.

One line of investigation is the jet fuel depot
at the airport they just used -- checking fuel contamiation.

That should be easy enough to run to ground.

And if terrorism is involved,
don't overlook the simmering Georgia/Abkhazia/Russia
hostilities -- the Caucasus is fiery with disorder.

I don't get it on why people kept posting off topic stuff in a
non-related newsgroup.

If one want to talk something Russian, would one at least compare the
disappearance of Buran with the disappearance of the Columbia. And why
the death of eight people aren't talked as much as the disappearance
of seven people,

Well... In 11th September 2001, something crashed into the Pentagon,
NO ONE, I repeat NO ONE can crash anything on the Pentagon that easily
without the Pentagon's permission (unless you are saying that a super
high tech U.F.O. was involved here), proving that to do that one
required a massive inside job, maybe the same thing happened in the
Russian government?

But then again, the ones who control both governments (U.S.A. and
Russian) are the same group of people anyway.

It should be noted terrorism is an of putting fears into people, the
events don't necessary have to exist. Jusk ask any horror producer,
they're an expert in the art of terrorism.

Of course, when you add the reliability of Russian planes to it,
maybe not so big.

Russian/Soviet planes are quite reliable, but... lately many of them
are fitted with 'western' avionics to be 'updated', these avionics
while might be 'advanced', in the same time they're also quite frail
and can be easily exploited, and there also the chance that these
avionics might even contained trojan horse (or maybe even horses).

There are several possibilities:

- The plane was hijacked.

- The plane's avionics fritz and then tell that it was hijacked.

- The plane's avionics was ordered from the outside to tell that it
was hijacked.

Remember, be open minded, and also remember what Arthur Conan Doyle
once said "When you have eliminated the impossible, that which
remains, however improbable, must be the truth."

(Yes, I know it's a morbid joke.)

Cruel joke maybe?

I have always been concerned about the Russian practice of parking large
numbers of commercial aircraft on the tarmac far from the terminal; these
planes may sit there for extended periods prior to their flight. It would
not be difficult for a terrorist to sneak into this area and to plant bombs
on aircraft, since security cannot be that tight.

Domodedova is littered with such planes, I think some only fly once a week.

On the other hand, its possible that fuel contamination would take out 2
planes, but doing so within 3 minutes of each other is highly unlikely.

Why? It's only Russians. Accidents like this are a godsend when you
consider the surplus population. It's a necessary thinning of the herd.

Why don't you volunteer to be thinned out, for the good of all mankind?

I sincerely hope you're joking or trolling.

Everyone around here expresses their deepest sympathy for people's
losses.

Sincerely,

Trolling; it was a google post.

It is clearly labeled as Off Topic. Also, as a aeronautical event, I
thought it would of interest to the readers of these groups. Judging by the
number of replies, it is.
