Default Why Jupiter has A Great Magnetic Field

Number 1 Its very fast spin. #2 its core is solid hydrogen. These two are the main reason. TreBert

Reason Jupiter field is stronger than the Sun's is its field comes out of its core. Sun's field is from its surface. My thinking is Mercury has to have a weak field like our moon. TreBert

Mercury's magnetic field is about 1.1% as strong as Earth's as measured by Mariner 10 in 1974. The Moon's field is external and very week.

AA That goes with my thinking.Still with the Sun being weaker than Jupiter is amazing. TreBert

I wonder how much plasma Jupiter has?. Good place to look would be in its eye. Earth spinning at the equator gives it a 13 mile bulge. Jupiter with such a fast spin begs the question."How big is its bulge"? Its poles should have a strong gravity. TreBert

Next question.A 200lb man at the equaton would gain how much weight if he went to the North Pole? On Earth he would gain a pound. TreBert

Lot of friction going on in Jupiter and that has to be part of its great magnetic field. Also has all that plasma. Eye best place to look. O ya TreBert

Jupiter is the lightning planet. It also is the planet with the most hydrogen. Hmmmmmm Here is a plan. We drop a bomb with 1,000 gl.of liquid oxygen into the eye,and we could see the explosion here on Earth. First man made explosion on another planet (WOW) TreBert

I have its strong field #1 "fast spin" #2 "friction." Reality is. These two should be in books. TreBert

mperial thinkers credit reason is gthey don't have a generator spinning in Jupiter's Core. TreBert
