Default Ivan's Energy

The loop shows peculiar energy distribution in Ivan. At one point it becomes
"oblong" and it also seems
to loose the eye. The other disturbances associated with that band of
weather stretching into the Baja
clearly shows disintegration. A wierd muther indeed...maybe it will begin
to "fly apart" just before mainland US.
I still think it will end up in the gulf

Hi:

Well, it doesn't take too much guessing to see that that will happen. From
somebody who's lived through many a strom...they don't normally "fly apart,"
and this one appears to be strengthening rather than weakening now, being back
to CAT 4.

Peace,

Well then why is NOAA and all the the others not even hinting at this?
Infact, as I said 2 days ago, the Yucatan is exactly in it's way. They
didn't even
mention it.

Hi:

Why? Because Yucatan is not in its way. That could have something to do with
it. ;-)

It would be nice if the storm would go west toward the Yucatan, but the

upper
levels wont allow it to go due west!

This latest jetstream and upper level wind situation seems to suggest
otherwise.
Look at the circulation of the sub-tropical jet and winds in the gulf
region.

You might be onto something, it just veered a bit west, the eye missing
Jamaica even though it was originally
projected to go over Kingston
