Opportunity cuts spherule by the middle! grinds, does'nt cut ,
Carlos, Oppportunity, does'nt cut. It grinds for hours with a rotating
diamant filled grinding wheel. This is cabable to wear all other materials. The hardened glass spheres are fixed in younger surrounding sediment rock. Only grinding grooves are visible on the glass sphere surfaces as glass is amorphous not crystallized material.
