Default I'm looking for a book on simulation of spacecraft

A general overview. I'm curious about how one thinks about this.

I found one:

I'm not doing something that would justify spending $10o or more.

Interesting. I've never heard of that book but it does fill a bit of a
hole in the literature. There is plenty of material on simulating the
surrounding environment (astrodynamics), and material on designing
spacecraft systems, but little on simulating spacecraft systems.

I have never heard of such a book on that topic. Have you tried the
NASA history web site?

I've looked at the NASA technical reports site. There are reports on
simulation of software, of specific devices, but nothing general. I
have also found patents for simulators, but they don't talk about why
some things were done.

The worst part of this is that I don't really know enough about the
concept to ask good questions in a search.

I did a search for "space cabin sumilator" on the NASA report site.
That resulted in 125 papers:

I'll be reading through the list this weekend.
