Default "Stumpy" lives - much to the chagrin of the trolling trash...

....Yeah, I could use a ride in that myself. However, I'll be honest -
things like this happen for a reason. It's brought my family a lot
closer together, and today I finally got out of the house for a few
hours to run a few errands with Brother Dim. Had a reaction to the
chinese food buffet that put a damper on things early, but at least
I'm not dead.

....If I could go back in time with the provision that I couldn't
change anything, I'd go back with a PC seriously geared for TV
capture, find some city that had superior cable TV service for its
day, and then capture TV programs that were live and the kinescopes
never survived. IIRC, most of the DuMont network's shows are long
since dumped off the end of some Long Island pier, and there's
reportedly none of the "Kitirik" or "Cadet Don" shows left either.
Most kids' shows are long lost because a) nobody thought they'd be
worth saving, and b) home recording for the parents wasn't available
at an affordable cost(*) until after the local kids' shows were
essentially extinct.

(*) Remember, in the late 60's - early 70's, only the uberrich could
afford a 3/4" VTR deck, camera and tapes. Which is why Mama Cass, Bob
Crane and Jimi Hendrix had them, and look at what they used them for!
