Humans haven't been the only forms of intelligent life to
exist since the BB, IMHO. Many forms have come and gone,
probably by destroying itself, because their science "advanced"
to the point to where the means to destroy themselves was
recklessly put in reach of nearly anyone. And that's what's going
to happen to us. The means to easily produce a biological agent
that will kill every single human being will get leaked to Youtube.
Count on it. Scientists are the most dangerous people on Earth.

so ask,
how many solar systems were formed - [way] before ours?

Not in my opinion. We are getting close to self-destruction.
Science has to get more realistic and quit doing research
in areas that could lead to
