Wacko theory of the universe

Did anyone else hear Hoax to Hoax last night? Neil Adams was on
discussing comic books. Then he launched his totally wacko theory of
the universe. It's too much to go into, but he threw out all
knowledge of Earth's geology for the past 50 years (actually, he
claimed geologists had it all wrong for 150 years!). Then he threw
out everything astronomers know about where the Sun and planets, etc.
came from! No, the heavier atoms weren't made in dead supernovae!
The Big Bang? Forget it, it isn't needed according to his crackpot
theory! George Snoory totally agreed with him. George never really
believed in the Big Bang. It's all a matter of belief, not
carefully-studied SCIENCE! Of course it is!

The Earth, Sun and the entire Solar System has been expanding for some
time now and continues to expand, of course. The matter doing this is
created out of NOTHING! The Earth used to be about 1/3 of what it is
now and GREW to what we now have. No plate techtonics, no sea floor
spreading except for all this matter being created out of NOTHING!
The ocean basins are too young to be created by geologic processes.
Same for mountains. I guess that mountains never get worn away during
30-40 MILLION years? Isn't it amazing that geologists have wasted all
this time and effort making theories which are blown away in such
short order? There's lots more, but SHEESH!

Jupiter is also expanding out of NOTHING! Since Jupiter "grew up" its
been protecting Earth and Mars from collisions with things like Comet
Shoemaker-Levy 9!

And just who is Neil Adams? He's a comic book artist who "noticed"
that the Earth's continents fit PERFECTLY into one giant continent.
This fact led him to his wacko theories! George didn't bother to tell
Neil to stick with drawing comic books!

You seem to really like that show, Saul.

Theories I've seen explain the expanding Earth as a result of all that
space flowing into it, the same flowing space that causes gravity.
Well, there's nowhere for all that energy to go, so it creates more
matter and causes the Earth to expand. It solves that "roach motel"
problem that oc talks about.

The theory also explains why the dynosaurs were so big. The Earth was
smaller then and the gravity was less and so animals could develop
larger bodies.

I think the theory was kicked around for a long time, but has been
replaced by modern plate techtonic theory.

"Earth's continents fit into one giant continent" This has been known for a
long time, there's even a name for that land mass and that it broke up and
spread apart a very long time ago.
