Default A viable option to quantizing gravity?

Alternate theories of gravity attract huge attention in the field of
gravitational research, if you are referring to quantizations of
general relativity, i e string theory and loop quantum gravity,
as said in an adjacent thread yesterday. If you consider non
quantum gravity theories, those are studied by few and
practically ignored by everyone else. Only a handful of theorists
ever publish on anything like MOND.
To this end C. Johan Masreliez is one of them, but can perhaps
also be put in the other group by the approach he has taken to
deal with g t r. In a discrete conformal time like FRW solution
he also claims firm connection to quantum mechanics, as shown
in this month's issue of Apeiron
http://redshift.vif.com/current_issue.htm

Very speculative indeed, but can his stepwise treatment of time
be said to unite gravitation with quantum theory?
