Nice weekend.Today it was warm and sunny.Sunday it will hit 85 WOW.Only cold spot is still my nose.I wake up at 8 and the sun has warmed my van to 57.I'm very happy where I park.Its quite,and dark.It saves me driving 3 miles each morning.Its as if I had my own lot.Better air to breath.Bert


A roasty 55F today as of 12 noon here in Gresham. Calm and even a little sun. Rain has temporarily stopped. The sun, and my electric lights, have heated my apartment to 62F! Forecast says the days high temp could reach 60F!

Hey, I just realized I am missing the Pro Bowl! Oh well, I can probably only get it on radio anyway. But another excuse to pop a top of Bud high gravity beer (Hurricane).

Yes! And I was able to catch most of the second half of the game on ABC television while I enjoyed a couple of their 25 oz. cans! Their actually was and exciting end to that game as the AFC came from behind in the last two minutes to win 24-23! My experience has been that when the Pro Bowl game is exciting, the Super Bowl game will be a blow out!

Now 50F as of 2:15 PM here in east Multnomah County. Calm with southerly breeze. Humidity 82%. Occasional showers. Nothing but rain in the forecast for the next week!

DOW down 666 points! That is more points than the Crash of '87! That all because of a report that unemployment is down and wages are up? Goes to show that Wall Street and Main Street are not always on the same page!

Here Portland is trying to evict people from a large homeless camp near the Portland Airport! They camped there because they thought it would be far from where they would bother anybody. But the city is trying to protect "wetlands"!

Getting all stocked up for Super Sunday! Need lots of Hurricane beer and snacks! My prediction is the Patriots, but I think the Eagles will put up a good fight. It has usually been better for the stock market though when the NFC team won. The market's 666 point plunge Friday night (one of Biblical proportions!) might be it's anticipation of an NFC loss!

I watched the Super Bowl game yesterday and was blessed with perfect television reception, which is rare here where I am. Well at least one myth has been exploded: The NFC won the game, and yet the stock market is continuing to crash!

The difference in the game came down to a difference in multiple skill sets. The Eagles' quarterback Nick Foles actually CAUGHT his pass for a touchdown, and Tom Brady did NOT! And then of course there was the Brady fumble!

At the end of the game, Brady through his long final pass, and said his Hale Mary! But the Holy Mother looked away, old Chronos stole the last few seconds off the clock, and when that ball hit the ground, the Eagles had landed!
