Went out to Taylorsville Lake, in Kentucky Saturday night, and had a great
time. we saw quite a few bright ones. It really picked up after midnight.

Same here in northern Minnesota. I had high clouds that fuzzed things
too much to image but it only cut my limiting magnitude from 6.5 to 5.5
so figured I'd watch the shower. From 1 to 2 I saw FIVE perseids and 8
from other showers and 3 sporadics. Clouds killed off the next hour,
then from 3 to 4 it cleared down to magnitude 6.0 and I saw in that hour
12 from other showers, TWO Perseids, and 7 sporadic meteors. What a bust!

The night before with some haze and magnitude 6.2 skies from 3 to 4 I
saw 43 Perseids, 7 from other showers and 5 sporadic.

It appears the shower came early, at least for me.

Rick

Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct.
Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh".
