You can buy binocular eyepieces for standard 1.25 and 2 inch eyepiece holders (again pricey). I've no experienced with them but tehy sound cute. able to observe the stars through the clouds? Any recommendations? Through clouds? You mean x-ray bins? Coo ! -- Mark McIntyre |

On removing my eye from the eyepiece I found that clouds had moved in and the planet was completely invisible to the naked eye. |

Just for your info, viewing "Hand-holding Binoculars" in Firefox shows the text for each section as a single long line with the picture way way over to the right. IE shows OK. The other two pages are OK. -- Les Desser (The Reply-to address IS valid) |

When present, this boolean attribute tells visual user agents to disable automatic text wrapping for this cell. Style sheets should be used instead of this attribute to achieve wrapping effects. Note. if used carelessly, this attribute may result in excessively wide cells. /quote So there you have it! Only Firefox follows the spec! No idea why it did what it did but may be useful in the future. -- Les Desser (The Reply-to address IS valid) |

The other two pages are OK. Confirmed - your html editor has set that table cell to have NOWRAP attributes. Which is probably not what you want! I suspect it works in IE because IE is sufficiently broken as to ignore the doctype and other stuff... :-) A suggestion: did you consider running your pages through the W3C compliance checker? I've found it useful for removing the small inconsistencies generated by older or dodgier HTML editors. -- Mark McIntyre |

Thanks for that Les - I'll swap you that for how to view the HTML: Right click on any part of the right hand side except pictures and choose 'View page source' with the left mouse button. -- Graham W http://www.gcw.org.uk/ PGM-FI page updated, Graphics Tutorial WIMBORNE http://www.wessex-astro.org.uk/ Wessex Astro Society's Website Dorset UK Info, Meeting Dates, Sites & Maps Change 'news' to 'sewn' in my Reply address to avoid my spam filter. |
