Leftover arrows on the ISS that direct you to things that don't exist:
http://nasawatch.com/archives/2010/0...rs-to-del.html Meanwhile, evil Obama refuses to spend unnecessary money, and Congress know that is illegal: http://nasawatch.com/archives/2010/0...-it-begin.html Just because we aren't going to build Ares-1 and Orion doesn't mean we shouldn't hire the people who will take care of them once they aren't built. How the hell did "Mr. Small Government" Ron Paul get his name on that letter? Pat |

Just because we aren't going to build Ares-1 and Orion doesn't mean we shouldn't hire the people who will take care of them once they aren't built. How the hell did "Mr. Small Government" Ron Paul get his name on that letter? They should send the bill to the person directly responsible for the wasted $11.5 billion dollars on a idiotic program, Former VP Cheney. Pat |

Spaceflight Now had live footage from last night's EVA on their website, and it's amazing how much writing the ISS has on its exterior. The whole thing is covered with writing telling you where you are, what particular systems on the exterior of the modules are, and how to operate things. Has Kilroy been there yet?-) rick jones -- The computing industry isn't as much a game of "Follow The Leader" as it is one of "Ring Around the Rosy" or perhaps "Duck Duck Goose." - Rick Jones these opinions are mine, all mine; HP might not want them anyway... feel free to post, OR email to rick.jones2 in hp.com but NOT BOTH... |

... What it needs is a big red glowing button that has "DON'T EVER PUSH!" written under it, and of course the inevitable glowing eye of the HAL-9000. A tribble or two in the interior would also be a nice touch. --- a few mynock figurines or paintings on the outside, preferrably where they can be seen from inside the cupola. Jon Lennart Beck. |

... Did any of the Apollo astronauts ever stick Kilroy on the Moon? It seems like that would be a temptation that would be hard to resist, especially for a military man. Would be a nice single-panel: first expedition to eg. Phobos finds "Kilroy was here" scrawled on a rock. On a less flippant note, I wonder if it would become desirable to paint a surface in vacuum, and if so, if a type of paint exists or can be developed that's up for the job. An astronaut on an EVA doodling during a pause, or writing something more useful... Jon Lennart Beck. |

It seems like that would be a temptation that would be hard to resist, especially for a military man. Years back, someone at a military website had a petition going for the Post Office to issue a "Kilroy Was Here" stamp to commemorate veterans; I think that would be a great idea. You could make a whole set of stamps showing it scrawled in oddball places in different theaters of combat. Pat |
