You and ChrisBcritter wrote earlier:

(Chrisbcritter) "Atmospheric solar phenomena are surely not so uncommon that anyone but the uneducated and superstitious would be confused?"

(peterson) "You said it. In the U.S., around half of all adults queried said that the Moon is only visible at night. A great many people never look up,
especially during the day."

It seems that neither of you can provide any evidence that you were any more intelligent, or observant than the average person WRT discovering the visibility of the Moon in broad daylight.

I have no idea what you're trying to say or what point you're trying
to make.

You have poor reading comprehension. You can't even understand what YOU wrote!

First, chrisbcritter insulted Mexicans and then you turned around and insulted Americans, the implication being that Brits and other Europeans would NEVER be surprised at seeing halos around the Sun or seeing the Moon in broad daylight.

I'd say that if there was any insult, it was from the implication that
you made.

What implication was that, peterson?

I have no idea to what degree people outside the U.S. are
familiar with the daytime sky.

Yet you wrote earlier:

"I'd say _developed_ countries. People in less developed areas tend to
be a bit more in touch with their environment. The awareness is also
higher in rural areas. Cities- and city culture- aren't friendly to
watching the sky."

The survey I referenced was made among
Americans. And I don't even see it as insulting to them. Just sad that
so many people don't spend more time seeing the sky.

Don't play innocent, peterson. You bash Americans, particularly conservative ones, every chance you get, not to mention religious people, oil companies, corporations, CEOs, the military,...

Then you should stop clinging to your dogma.

No, I am not "broken."

What is apparent is that YOU never worked right in the first place.
