Default suppose earth and venus switched places. will venus produce life?

Save yourself the trouble of actually switching the planets... Just
switch the names.... of course you are making the assumption that the
two planets were alike in every way other than position with respect
to the Sun... which is not the case.

Compare moons, magnetic fields, history, etc.
