Google Groups Policy/Technical-Usefulness Degrading Dramatically:Alternatives?
Google Groups has always had major problems in limited areas, such as
indexing one's previous posts. Between technical matters and a major, PC, CENSORSHIP policy, indexing of previous posts has been way too limited, indexing only a small percentage of a person's total posts. Now, search for previous posts has become essentially useless due to (I suppose) technical changes. And/or due to a new, extreme censorship policy. Probably this has to due with the economy and competition. But it may be due to ever more vehement, politically correct CENSORSHIP POLICY. In any case, GG is becoming a worthless site, more and more EXTREMELY UNUSABLE. Time to start looking into alternatives. Ideas, anyone? I know someone's going to say, "Get a newsgroup reader and access news groups the way they are MEANT to be accessed, which is NOT through things like GG in the first place!" Hey, what an idea! |
