ASTRO: NGC 559
This open cluster in Cassiopeia is about 3500 light years away. It is
one of the objects on the Herschel 400 list. Think the only time I ever looked at it was when I was doing that list. I had a few minutes until what I wanted cleared the meridian so rather than start and flip midway through the shot I took this quick shot to kill the time. 14" LX200R @ f/10, L=2x10', RGB=1x10' (File name is in error), STL-11000XM, Paramount ME Rick -- Correct domain name is arvig and it is net not com. Prefix is correct. Third character is a zero rather than a capital "Oh". |

Rick, nice image. Not the most spectacular object, but it still stands out
well from the background stars in your image. Stefan "Rick Johnson" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ster.com... This open cluster in Cassiopeia is about 3500 light years away. It was even less spectacular visually. Guess that's why I never went
back for a second look. Rick Stefan Lilge wrote: Rick, nice image. Not the most spectacular object, but it still stands out well from the background stars in your image.
