Someone wrote... "Your comment was that you're Chicken Little..."

No wonder you are so confused, your lousy reading comprhension has led you astray right out of the box. I never made any such claim, no matter how much you think otherwise...

the world for over half a century. And not "someday," but "any
day now." Over and over and over. It's like - *just* like - the
religious cults that say that the Second Coming is next Tuesday.
Every Wednesday. For years. Excatly like that."

WOW! That's quite a statement.

And it's true. If you don't already know that, you're an idiot.

The envirowhackos have been making the same claims in the say way for
decades, and gotten the same results: ignored, because they sound
like hysterical children, and their predictions of apocalypse never
come true.

If you keep doing the same thing, you'll keep getting the same
results.

The only rational conclusion anyone can read is that either you are
droolingly stupid, or you know exactly what results you'll get, and
that's your goal.

The leadership of the AGW crowd act very, very much like a cult. They
set impossible goals, and deliberately alienate the general public to
isolate their followers. And get rich doing it. You're nothing but a
mark, but you get the attention you crave, so you're OK with it.

WOW! That's quite a statement. No wonder you are so whipped up my intentionally silly comment. You think, apparently, that all climate scientists are alarmists, which is quite far from the truth. The people who claim, over and over again, that the end of the world is going to occur any day now due to climate change are just as whacky as the people who completely deny there is any climate change to begin with. Both groups are not worth listening to, ever. Both groups don't understand science in general and climate science in particular, and for some reason are actually proud of their ignorance.

Throughout the history of the Earth there has been constant climate change in one direction or another, but the big issue today is that the current RATE of climate change is dramatic when compared to any other period of history that you care to choose. This fact is impossible to refute, at least when compared to the periods for which we have evidence. Sure, there are various different interpretations about this accelerated rate of change, but with time and constant research the facts are becoming clearer every year.

No matter which camp you are in, no matter what you choose to believe, you cannot fool Mother Nature, and she will reward you or punish you tomorrow for you actions today, and there not a darn thing you can do about it. You cannot ever hurt the Earth, she will always adjust and survive, but the current thinking is that her adjustment will certainly affect mankind overall for the worst, especially if we don't stop dumping almost 40 trillion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere every year and expect nothing bad to happen. It just won't happen tommorow...

OK, it is clear that you are completely irrational and cannot be dealt with in any reasonable way. I have presented what I believe to be a fairly accurate picture of "the way things really are", but you can't make any kind of reasonable argument in rebuttal. Your kind just can't be dealt with in a civilized manner, and so will be routinely discarded.

It's pretty clear just who the idiot is here, and I'm done with him. No need to respond anymore, you will just be talking to yourself.

I don't take environmental alarmists seriously either.

However, their past behavior in no way has affected how seriously I take
the consensus of the scientific community, the credibility of which
had not been subject to any similar erosion.

It is quite true that, for a number of reasons, many in the general
public are not making this distinction. Paid apologists for the
oil industry have had something to do with this.

Oh, and being right may not matter to the public response, but it will
still make a difference when the end of the world, or somewhat lesser
adverse effects, happen right on schedule.

Maybe to YOU.

Perhaps you haven't noticed but the US has reduced coal energy by 40%
over the past decade, solar is projected to increase by 30% over the next
TWO years and China is building two wind turbines per hour (half of the
world's production). At 4 per hour worldwide, that's 8000 per year
assuming a 2000 hour work year. At 1.5 MW/turbine and 6 hours/day, that
adds 3 GWHrs to energy production every year.

Things aren't so bad. Renewable is small but it's growing rapidly.

Gary, Do you think that the increase in solar and wind is a good thing? Why
do you think that if you deny the effects of rising CO2.

It is clear you are a deluded cult member, and like it that way.

I have presented what I
believe to be a fairly accurate picture of "the way things
really are",

And convinced me you're a moonbat with the IQ of a turnip, yes.

but you can't make any kind of reasonable argument

You've offered nothing to rebut. Only your religious beliefs, based
on the theology of your cult.

Your kind just can't be dealt with in a civilized
manner, and so will be routinely discarded.

Your kind can't deal with . . . much of anything. That's why you
turn your life over to the cult.

It's pretty clear just who the idiot is here,

Indeed, it is.

and I'm done with
him.

You're going to, what, kill yourself?

No need to respond anymore, you will just be talking to
yourself.

Did you *really* believe you'd get the last word? Are you *that*
stupid? Apparently so.

After all, global warming is denial of real science.

Global warming is real, and is very scary.

Not too scary to serve as inspiration for movies about imaginary
catastrophes, such as "The day after tomorrow".

One of the most dangerous
things the human race has ever faced, and one which has the

potential
to destroy our current civilization.

However, that wouldn't be the first time a human civilization has
been destroyed. It has happened several times before, and mankind
survived that. This time we're too many, we consume too much
resources, and we're too focused on eternal growth, which of

course
is impossible within a finite world. That's the lesson we must

learn
this time. If we don't learn it voluntarily, the Earth will teach

us,
in a quite harsh way.

I don't anticipate global warming has the potential to eliminate
humans, or even close to it. But civilization is fragile. It

wouldn't
take much to take down our current cultures and replace them with
something more typical- despotic theocracy, for instance.

Not something I want to see.

In a way we already live in such a society. Our current
"religion" is our belief in eternal growth, and those who
question that belief are considered to be backwards
a little mad, or even dangerous to society. As
expressed in their living style, people prefer global
warming over having to change their living style.

One would have to be slightly mad to drive in a city where walking or cycling are clearly much quicker. Or would be, if cyclists and pedestrians were not subject to countless red lights just to allow vehicles to proceed at intervals in a road system which cannot possibly cope with the space available.
