Default Celestron 114GT

Hi,
I have been offered a Celestron 114GT Nexstar for ~£160. Is this a
good deal ? I realise that the 'scope itself may not be up to much,
but the GOTO mount by itself must be worth this surely ? I would
probably try to fit a ST80 on the mount rather than the 114 OTA,
probably by simply padding out the tube ring with some sort of
packing. And if this works, then selling/giving away the 114 OTA.

What do you think ? Is this a good plan, or am I throwing £160 away on
a toy ?

Thanks

Andrew
