Default A VERY odd Zond 6 model

From over on Alex Pachenko's Russian collectable site:

What exactly is what looks like a Vostok reentry sphere doing perched on
Zond 6's reentry capsule?
Does this have any connection to the recent "Podsadka" speculation?
Is the sphere to be used as a jettisonable airlock to allow the crew to
board the Zond in earth orbit without vacuumating the Zond's reentry
capsule?
Or did the builder of the model get it wrong?

That looks an awful lot like one of their Mars/Venus probes.
