Another successful launch. Congrats to SpaceX.

Any addition word on the first stage landing attempt out at sea?

Yes, and unfortunately, the word was: "KABOOM"!

And that folks is why it's called a test program. His KABOOM! is still more
than any of his competitors can claim.

Yes, and unfortunately, the word was: "KABOOM"!

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/488718649515986944

His tweet:

Rocket booster reentry, landing burn & leg deploy were
good, but lost hull integrity right after splashdown
(aka kaboom)

His follow-up tweet:

https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/488718649515986944

From above:

Detailed review of rocket telemetry needed to tell if
due to initial splashdown or subsequent tip over and body
slam

This is still a partial success for reusability. Every flight like
this, even if it's not successfully recovered, builds their knowledge
base and helps them to work out issues. Doing this over the ocean makes
sense in that you're not endangering any (expensive) facilities or
people at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station or KSC.
