Whole moon video with Televue Ranger + ToUcam Pro?

Hi,

I intend to capture the whole full moon with Toucam pro and my Televue
Ranger. As I haven't tried it yet and wish to seek opinion from you
whether it can cover the whole moon with this setup? I wish to prepare
for next eclipses.

And do you have any formula to compute how many arcsec can the setup
covers with any combination of aperture, f/ratio, and pixel size for
prime focus?

You will probably need about 210mm focal length. The Ranger is about
480mm focal length, if I remember correctly.

A formula you can use is:

Size of Field in degrees = 57.3 times Size of CCD divided by Focal
Length

The Toucam chip is about 2.4mm by 3.6 mm so:

Size of Field=57.3*2.4/210= 0.65 degrees, about 30% larger than the
Moon.

Multiply degrees by 3600 to get arc-seconds.
