From NASA PR :-

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The nation's space exploration program is taking a
critical step forward with a successful major technical review of the
core stage of the Space Launch System (SLS), the rocket that will
take astronauts farther into space than ever before.

That's a very dismal name and a dismal acronym too, for what is supposed
to be a large and important system. I suggest :-

Wondrously Huge, Government Expendable Rocket System Thrusting
Expensive NASA Missions Aloft Into Extreme Remoteness

Astro stuff via astron-1.htm, gravity0.htm ; quotings.htm, pascal.htm, etc.

Past Orbital Rocket Kit or PORK for short. I mock but in fairness, I
haven't reviewed the topic. I get the sense somethings are being
done piece meal and without a consistent grand plan for extreme
remoteness. But then again what do I know................Trig

The high-end version will be SLS-Heavy, or SLSH. It will have a Slush
Fund.
