I heard that there are mirrors that are a lot better than other mirrors.
Is it the smoothness of the glass? I read the glass is put over the reflected surface to keep the silver from tarnishing. Would it help if the silver surface was in a vacuum,or helium? Well the Hubble's mirror is in the best vacuum. Now that computers can adjust them I like multiple smaller mirrors for deep space viewing. Bert |

What if we model telescopes like the eyes of flies?. The brain of the
fly makes a composite picture out of those 50 light sources. I'm sure our great computers could do the same thing. Bert |
