this has been another multi-night project. four to this point

it is 29x20 minutes of exposure in [SII]/Ha/[OIII]

http://www.narrowbandimaging.com/m16...2hao3_page.htm

taken using the Stinger 450 classical cass and FLI Dream Machine using Cust
Sci 4.5nm emission line filters

seeing isn't so hot shooting over the roof of the house and into the city
muck but it's either live with it or forget shooting it :-)

Well done richard. Was this done totally unattended?

yes, depending on what you mean

i point it at the target, get it framed properly and focused and start the
automation software and then go inside to do other things. If I stay up then
I check on things from time to time to make sure the images are looking OK
and not look out of focus etc

but that's about all my typical intervention these days

Great picture Richard. I wouldn't try anything other than Halpha on this
object as it is only high enough to be imaged for about an hour for me. To
get the exposure times you have would probably take me a full summer.

It certainly was worth the effort; a wonderful image!
