The X Prize is stupid
On Sat, 11 Oct 2003 16:50:24 -0500, in a place far, far away, Phil
Fraering pgf@AUTO made the phosphor on my monitor glow in such a way as to indicate that: (Rand Simberg) writes: Unless you can show that they spent their own money on it, I don't consider it a nitpick. The only reference I saw indicated that the F-5E received government funding, but implied that the other two versions (the original F-5, and the F-20) didn't. For that matter, the government was somewhat hostile to the F-20. Yes, actually, now that I think of it, they did spend their own money on the F-20, and then the government made sure that they couldn't sell any, to anyone. They'll never make that mistake again... -- simberg.interglobal.org * 310 372-7963 (CA) 307 739-1296 (Jackson Hole) interglobal space lines * 307 733-1715 (Fax) http://www.interglobal.org "Extraordinary launch vehicles require extraordinary markets..."
