Default PSEUDOS AIN'T BEATING A PATH TO ED'S DOOR.

A QUESTION:

How many members of the Scientific Establishment
have come to Shenandoah, Pa., to examine the specimens
of petrified bones, teeth and soft organs -- some human --
discovered between anthracite veins since the first one
was found in June 1981?

Answer Below

Here are some photos of the specimens:

GREATEST DISCOVERY OF THE 20TH CENTURY

(A golden rule of geology is that coal is a minimum of 280
million years old, dating back to the Carboniferous Period.)

Photos show a petrified human femur embedded in slate
that was excavated during an open-pit mining operation
in Pennsylvania's anthracite region:

MAN AS OLD AS COAL

ANSWER: None

Noel Boaz, an anthropologist then with New York University
had seen photos and had expressed a keen interest in paying
a visit to see the specimens and visit some of the sites.
However, the day before he was scheduled to arrive he cancelled
out, claiming that he had another commitment.
