Astrohumanics

A proposal for a new area of study...

Astrohumanics

Astrohumanics : the branches of learning regarded
as having primarily a cultural character, including
history, mathematics, human population dynamics and
philosophy as they pertain to or can be served by the
study of astronomy.

I would suspect that many people who read this group
are already expert in astrohumanics, especially if you've
studied humanities. When you make the needed mental
connections--some of which will be brand new ones
never thought of before--you may then realize that the
study of astrohumanics is not only well worth your time...
astrohumanics will soon come to be essential to the
future of all life.

Maybe it would be good if we next asked and answered
some questions about astrohumanics? Go ahead and
ask... after all, i'm not an astrohumanicist for nothing g
