Default New Cosmological Cafe opens in Ryde

Andy Lawes has been working with Greaves & Thomas,of Ryde, Isle of Wight,
the only commercial makers of globes in the country. On Wednesday a new café
on Union Street, Ryde, opened which will be the front section of what is
planned to be the only globe museum in the country. 'The Orrery' pays homage
to the solar system and the planets and moons that it is made up from.
Several optical illusions including a 'mirrored globe' hanging outside and
its very own orrery or moving solar system on the ceiling inside were
unveiled to a perplexed crowd of people on Wednesday afternoon.

Groups are welcome to come and visit for further information see;
http://www.esas.org.uk and click on ESAS and Greaves & Thomas for further
information.
