No global warming around here. Snow mixed with rain and 36F as of 1:45 PM here in Gresham. Wind north at 8 mph. Humidity 86%. Could be worse!

Your Patriots won yesterday. It wasn't pretty, but they got the job done. I listened to most of the game on radio, since I cannot pick up the CBS channel where I live. Didn't want to spend too much money on high priced beer, so I waited until the 4th quarter to walk to the sports bar down the street to watch. The fact that all the action happened in the 4th quarter was therefore just fine with me.

Watch the game at a friends house(Jim) We both fell asleep and I left when it was tide(third quater) Made big cash money, and will spend it on the 14th with Sandy(If possible) All week people asking me my age WHY?.If your 90 its a good chance of making it to 91.Even without pills, heat.and getting leg cramps so bad I fall out of van.Hawaii is now in my thinking.I need a bed warmer(girl in a grass skirt) Bert

Leg cramps are usually because you are missing some mineral like calcium or potassium, or electrolytes. Some medications like blood pressure pills can deplete them. Take some vitamins with minerals. Drink some of that water with electrolytes they sell in the stores. Well, happy birthday, whichever day it is.

Winter has come in February here. Still some snow left from last Monday night, and more expected tonight! Has stayed cold, dropping to mid 20s every night. I have been just leaving the lights on to heat my apartment, but it still has been costing me electricity. Now 35F as of 1:00 PM here in Gresham. Wind SE at 8 mph. Humidity 65%. A winter storm alert is in effect! Snow accumulations of 2 - 6 inches is being forecast. I have cousins in Wisconsin who sell snowmobiles. Would be nice to have one!

Well happy 91st birthday! I heard that Prince Phillip in England has finally given up driving at 97 after getting into a fender bender.

Just a little rain here between snow storms! Was about 4 inches of snow on the ground Saturday morning. Has mostly melted now. But they are talking about 6 to nine inches possible by tomorrow morning! But the snow might not come. No two forecasters agree!

Currently cloudy and raining and 41F as of 2:00 PM here in Gresham. Wind out of the south at 14 mph. Humidity 89%.

Well, they say the government has been shut down! Does that mean it no longer exists? Does it mean I no longer have to obey its laws? That would be nice!

I will be incommunicado for a few days after today. Library will close for both Christmas and Christmas Eve (Those librarians love to take every holiday off they can get away with!). And tomorrow I will be celebrating my birthday: the big 7 0 !

I have noticed this winter and last winter getting out of breath quickly when I exerted myself. I remember my father complaining of getting tired too easily when he was about the age I am now. At the time I was just over 30 and flippantly remarked, "Well you're getting old. What do you expect?" Now I have to face up to it myself!

Like I believe you yourself said, if you can walk at all, you have no reason to bitch. I see so many people these days only in their 50s already using walkers!

Weather here has been miserable lately! No more snow, but a lot of wet and windy days just above freezing, the kind of weather that destroys umbrellas! Wednesday was unusually nice when I had my usual lunch with Kim. She bought a new cheap umbrella, and already the weather on Thursday had destroyed it! I lost an umbrella when I came to the library last Monday. I was very lucky here in Gresham that the temp never got below 33F when in was raining. Those a little further east were not so lucky!

Today it is nice again! Temp now 47F as of 2:00 PM here in Gresham. Wind SE at 5 mph. Humidity at 61%. Barometer got all the way down to 29.0 yesterday.

A cold rain outside today. Now 40F as of 2:00 PM here in Gresham. Wind SW at 7 mph. Humidity 89%,

I have been here in Gresham now almost 4 years. Moved here on 2/19/15. I remember I found no need for heat in my apartment that February. Checking my diary I see that it was very warm in February that year. It had already gotten up to 61F one day! This year it has been lucky to get up out of the 30s!

Global cooling!
