Default ASTRO: NGC 2776 (galaxy in Lynx)

I used two night just before new years eve to image NGC 2776 in Lynx.
According to Guide9 it's distance is 120 million lightyears, about twice as far as the well known galaxies in the virgo cluster.

Taken from Berlin with a 10" Meade ACF on an AZ-EQ6 mount, with ASI1600MM and Trius SX694 cameras.
Lum: 14x10min Trius, 16x10min ASI / RGB: 7x10min ASI+Trius each
Image scale is 0.76 arcseconds/pixel.

I've had this one on my to-do list for years due to a neat odd looking flat galaxy to the SE. When it didn't show in your image I was puzzled. Then I went back to the blue POSS II plate and looked more closely. It is most likely a satellite flare. No wonder you didn't catch it. I should have looked at the POSS I plate as well. That K0 star will be a problem but its lack of blue will help. For some reason blue stars reflect badly between my camera or filter and the corrector plate making a huge blue reflection that is larger than my vertical frame height.

You did well with these two rather faint subjects for your skies.

Rick
