Default Meteor sighting Las Vegas 9/22?

Did anyone around Las Vegas see an extremely bright meteor coming in
from the west on almost a horizontal path around 7:35pm PDT yesterday
9/22? I was hiking with a friend down Turtlehead Peak in Red Rock
Canyon and the meteor didn't quite light up the sky coming toward us
over the western mountains but it left a bright and long red/white
trail, and apparently it dissipated in a huge dust cloud when it got
with 10 or 20 miles or so.

If you were looking up at the sky to the west of Vegas at the exact
time you won't have missed it, but the entire fiery descent lasted only
about 30 seconds.

It turned out to be a rocket launch from Vandenburg AFB--see Skywise's
post and link. I've seen similar trails in the sky above Las Vegas before.

really....

Right.

All those Astronomers must be asleep. Or something is wrong with the Aurora
lights, since they would be going crazy with the burst of radiation.

One of this day's there will be bigger rock heading towards earth....

Andy Warhol had more than the usual 15 minutes of fame, but he's dead now.

"Warhol," I think you need to check with a shrink and get your meds
increased.

Lame...... (as are most of your posts)...

[diatribe snipped]

Well, I think that was an inadvertent compliment, given the incoherent
BS that followed.

Elizabeth 11 the black spot, Curse will be on you... only one week to go....
The curse
you carry can be broken only if a once-plundered treasure is restored....
Soon the curse is effecting everything - and the Earth itself will be in
danger.
