Default Bz now negative!!

Bz is now strongly negative - and I can spot a strong glow even though
we're deep in twilight (53N 7W)!

Bz was positive all day and into the evening when the skies were clear.
I think it was the arrival of clouds that made it flip. All we can see
now is the streetlight nebula.

Best Regards,
John.

30Km east of London 19 - 20 hrs GMT there is a diffuse glow from NW through
N to NE at upto 30 degrees above horizon. ( Rather reminiscent of looking
north at midnight in June or July ).

Lots of VHF radio and television stations received via auroral mode
propogation.
Nice reception of OH9SIX (50.067Mhz) from the arctic circle in Finland.
Many Swedish, Danish, Lithuanian, British and French and other nationalities
VHF radio coming in.

Good thing I don't rely on the forecast page at
http://www.sec.noaa.gov/pmap/pmapN.html which is giving the latest predicted
update as continuing to show no auroral activity over southern England !

Anthony
