At least seven people have been killed in several states as a result of the arctic weather. Temperatures fell to -30C (-22F) in Chicago - colder than parts of Antarctica - and -37C in North Dakota. Freezing weather will chill 250 million Americans, and 90 million will experience -17C (0F) or below. California 20 C today, sunny too!!!! Anything going on with the weather that anyone, anywhere thinks is either abnormal or unusually normal, predicted or unexpected, unpleasant, inconvenient or just plain weird will be blamed on global warming! I saw a documentary TV show where rich, high-carbon-footprint owners of beachfront property were complaining about sea-level rise. You can't make this stuff up. The ocean levels have only risen something like 7 cm since 1993. If it continues at the current rate, that would be about 70 cm in 100 years. I seem to recall that something like 40% of that rise is due to ocean warming. |
