I have this file but for me it is empty, it is in the folder that has
the numbers under the main Seti folder.

That file is supposed to be empty. Its' existance in a flag for the
S@h client to send the results when it completes the WU it's processing,
then do not download another WU, just exit the program.

AFAIK, there's no way for it to be placed in the folder other than
manually created by the user; I've never heard of a way for the clients
to create it.

Windows is like SUVs; a bad idea, poorly implemented, unsafe, with a
lot of intept users, but a fact of life we have to put up with.

Helllllp!

I'm getting "Can't connect to server (error 16,2)" on each of two
networked computers after they've finished a work segment.

I've gotten it before but only for a few hours and I figured it was an
overloaded server, but this time it's been two days. Is the SETI
server down?

Again, thank you. Just knowing it wasn't me was a relief.

That's because SETI@home has switched over to BONIC.

Remove your SETI folders and any associated SETI support apps... they are no
longer needed.

From the SETI@home web site download the BONIC manager and then RUN it and then
in the "Projects" tab click on "Attach to new project" and select SETI@home to
DL the NEW SETI application (4.09) which will run in your BONIC folder.

NOTE: Make sure to set your "Reserve" to at least 3 days. There is NO way at
present to modify this once it is setup WITHOUT editing a file in the BONIC folder.
