Default Psychology vs Tea Leaves...

Since that lady astronaut went crazy and put on diapers and kidnapped
another lady astronaut, everyone is asking how NASA's expert teams of
psycholalagists failed to detect her insanity.

Now NASA has announced it is re-evaluating its entire psychological
analysis program. The previous program involved an elderly Gypsy
woman who performed tarot card readings on the astronauts, but since
that failed to detect Ms. Nowak's mental instability, NASA has
decided to improve its screening procedures by using tea leaves, I-
Ching sticks, and even Viking runestones in an attempt to detect
astronauts' internal emotional conflicts before they escalate into
bizarre kidnap plots.

I don't know much about psychology, so I couldn't say whether tea
leaves or runestones are better for reading astronauts' minds, or
why they work better than tarot cards. When it comes to tea leaves,
are black, green, oolong, or Earl Gray considered superior to the
other varieties? Does NASA use ordinary market tea leaves or does
it require special genetically-engineered varieties that cost half
a billion dollars per pound? And does NASA perform sufficiently
thorough background checks on the tea-leaf-reading psychologists,
or do they permit any old Dr. Phil-type to perform the screenings?

I wonder why no interviews were made on this lady's ex-husband, boy
friend, children, colleagues and neighbours, in order to get a more
objective and thorough understanding of this lady from different
perspectives. What was reported and portrayed about this lady in the
media might not be totally true.

I suspect that these tea leaves, taro cards, etc. reflect the
mentality of these "mind-readers" rather than the mentality of test
takers.
