No - but all the others are actually Mars. Or could it be that all
those amazing August Mars pictures were actually the eclipsed Moon?

I'm knackered - just off for a quick Tonkin.

It's obviously visible to the naked eye. What a glaring mistake!

Lunar Eclipse - Ian Law

This shows a gibbous phased Moon. The shadow is concave (it's not the
shadow of the Earth - it's the shadow of the Moon itself - i.e. the
terminator).

A lunar eclipse cannot possibly occur during the gibbous phase shown.

the shadow seems to be in the wrong place? Dunno, I'm judging by
StarryNight, could be an artefact of my location etc.

Hi Mark,

If you are unsure of what the shadow should look like, check out my
image of the eclipse back in 2001.

http://www.georgedingwall.freeuk.com/images/Moon_9.jpg

I missed the recent one due to thick cloud.

Well, it's not an eclipsed moon - but apart from that no...
