Dr Fred Whipple
Thank you to everyone who posted obituaries for Dr Whipple.
One small note: Dr Whipple was the last surviving member of the group of writing contributors to the Collier's Magazine space series published between 1952 and 1954 (headed by Dr Wernher von Braun). The articles, illustrated by Chesley Bonestell, Rolf Klep and Fred Freeman, were the original inspiration for my film "Man Conquers Space". David -- per aspera ad astra |

On the other hand, at the rate you're going, by the time it hits said screen, you'll probably have to add obits for most of us here...:-( OM -- "No ******* ever won a war by dying for | http://www.io.com/~o_m his country.
