Elon Musk: Artificial Intelligence more dangerous than nukes ...
A number of books have been written on the subject of
artificial intelligence and it dangers to mankind, if left to grow unchecked or left to propagate in an unsupervised environment. At one point it might become smart enough to outwit its human creators and then hell would have to be paid in scenarios as varied as the imagination allows. http://venturebeat.com/2014/08/03/el...us-than-nukes/ But alas, if we program a HVAC or a GuthBall gene into their DNA, then we would have the assurance that their IQ would forever be restricted to the toe & finger range and would thus remain manageable. They would also make great presenters of dull oratory, stories of great BS and tales of self delusion and acronym laced verbal bouts of utter nonsense. Just think of the possibilities ... |
